Smith College Information Technology Services

Smith College provides computer centers for students in several locations across campus, including Seelye Hall, Wright Hall, Washburn House, and the Quad. All student computer centers are equipped with Macintosh computers, Windows computers, and laser printers. The computer center in Wright Hall also offers scanning stations.

In the computer centers, students can access Microsoft Office for Macintosh and Windows, GroupWise email, academic courseware, Five College library resources, and Internet resources including TARA, the ITS self-help website.

Staffed Computer Centers

Smith's staffed computer centers are located in the lower levels of Seelye Hall and Wright Hall.

During the regular academic term, these facilities are open and staffed with student consultants during the hours listed below:

Weekdays: 8:00 am - 12:00 midnight
Weekends: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Wright 5 & 7
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 12:00 midnight
Friday: 8:00 am - 9:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 am - 12:00 midnight

Note that hours may change during college breaks and holidays.

During the summer term, these facilities are open and staffed with student consultants during the following hours:

Weekends: Closed

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 12:00 midnight
Friday: 8:00 am - 6:30 pm

Unstaffed 24-Hour Student Computer Centers

Smith provides two 24-hour student computer centers, located in Washburn House and in the Quad (basement of King House). Students must have a valid Smith ID card to access these centers.
