Assistive Technology Lab, lower level Seelye Hall

Assistive Technology at Smith comprises a wide range of software and hardware tools to help the learner. We maintain the Assistive Technology Lab in lower level Seelye which has four workstations in a sunny, pleasant-to-work-in space. These computers are outfitted with Dragon Naturally Speaking for dictating text, Kurzweil which will read text aloud, and other software that are intended to aid studying. There are headsets, a study table, and one adjustable height workstation. The lab has its own print station. Documentation and tutorials are readily available via Desktop shortcuts. This lab keeps the same hours as the general labs; please call x2071 or x2648 for access. For personal assistance or if you have questions, please contact The Office of Disability Services at x2071 or Aisha Gabriel, ETS, at x2648.
