New to Smith?
All of the members of the ETS staff believe that technology is secondary to pedagogy. If chalk meets your needs and your teaching goals, then it's a perfectly acceptable piece of technology. We don't believe that technology consists of only those things that were invented after we were born. We work hard to evaluate technology to determine whether it has a pedagogical advantage, or if it is a current fad with no lasting value. We want to make sure that the time you spend with technology is productive, and the tools you learn to use are as easy as possible for you and your students. We are always evaluating ways to make technology easier and more useful.
We also love to talk about new ideas. If you talked to a colleague who is doing something you find interesting, we'd love to hear about it. Get in touch with any member of the ETS staff and we'll listen to your idea and, if possible, take steps to implement it here.
