  Organizing your Work

The way your work is organized can affect your health and well-being. Try the following techniques to make your workday less stressful:
  • Plan ahead and set realistic expectations about what you can accomplish during the day.

  • Vary your workload by adding diversity to your office routine. For example, deliver a message in person instead of making a phone call.

  • Avoid long periods of repetitive activity. Try to alternate computer work with other tasks, such as attending meetings, making phone calls, filing, etc.

  • Arrange your workplace so you have easy access to all the supplies you use most frequently.

  • Take short breaks every once in a while; it will help you re-energize and relax.
