Noise

Noise is an often overlooked part of the working environment. Office machines, phones, and coworkers' conversations can be a distraction. Here are some ways to minimize their effects:

  • Be considerate of the people working near you. Try to conduct conversations and meetings in the areas designed for these purposes.

  • Try using headphones, earplugs, or soft music to reduce or mask noise.

  • Use fabric partitions to reduce noise from conversations, equipment such as copiers and printers, and foot traffic.
