COMPUTER STORE POLICIES


Merchandise Return Policy:

Unopened Software: Current versions of unopened software may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Smith College Computer Store will not accept any returns on open box software. Refunds are issued by the college in the form of a check; allow 10-14 days to receive the check.

Defective Software: Defective software will be exchanged for the same title and version within 30 days of purchase.

Unopened Hardware: Unopened hardware may be returned within 30 days of purchase. Smith College Computer Store will not accept any returns on open boxes of hardware. Refunds are issued by the college in the form of a check, allow 10-14 days to receive the check.

Defective Hardware: All hardware deemed defective by Tech Services within 15 days of purchase will be repaired or replaced according to manufacturer's warranty. After 15 days all defective hardware will be repaired under the manufacturer's warranty.


Warranty:

All equipment sold by the Smith College Computer Store is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.


Service and Support:

Smith College Technical Services* is an authorized Service Center for both Dell and Apple computers. They are conveniently located on campus in Stoddard Hall 34.

ITS Technical Services no longer repairs any computer that was not purchased at the Smith College Computer Store. We are continuing to perform authorized service on Dell and Apple computers purchased at Smith, and to serve as a shipping depot for Smith-purchased computers that must be repaired by the manufacturer.

*Smith College Technical Services is only available to current members of the Smith College community.
