My specialization is in teaching methodology and pedagogy in second language acquisition; pedagogic strategies for students with learning disabilities; Italian intonation and regional accents
I received a “Laurea” in psychology from the University of Padua. I worked for many years in Italy in the field of psychology and published articles about the connection between communication, relationships, and mental health. In 2004, I came to the United States and began to focus on teaching methodologies in second language acquisition. I am particularly interested in technological strategies to involve students in learning Italian language and culture.
At Smith College, I teache two sections of advanced Italian conversationItalian courses. She is a member of the American Association of Teachers of Italian.
