Our Staff

Hrayr Tamzarian

Associate Dean

The associate dean for international students and scholars works with international students to provide advice on all matters pertaining to immigration, visas, foreign travel, passports, work authorization, practical training programs and personal and financial problems.

Dean Tamzarian also directs the international students' preorientation program (ISP).

Office Hours

Dean Tamzarian is available to meet with students during open hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. in his office at Wright Hall 124 and daily by appointment.

Ashavan Doyon

Administrative Assistant

Ashavan provides administrative support to the associate dean of international students and scholars, and to the other deans and directors in the Office of Student Affairs. Ashavan works closely with Dean Tamzarian in creating programming that supports the international student population and helps to enrich the international experience for all students.

Available for the international students as a resource, Ashavan can answer many student questions, provide guidance on international student issues, and generally help students determine how to find the resources they need. Ashavan is also able to sign I-20s when Dean Tamzarian is not available.

Anuujin ElbegdorjAnuujin Elbegdorj

International Student Intern

The international student intern is a knowledgable resource whose internship helps provide her with experience in answering basic questions about the international student experience. As an international student herself, she provides a unique and necessary perspective for the associate dean, and provides a student voice during the development of programming and projects in the Office for International Students and Scholars.

 

Iju Shakya

International Student Worker

The international student worker also acts as a resource for students visiting the office. The role of the student worker is a support role, making sure paperwork is processed quickly through the office, helping to process mailings, supporting programming, and helping maintain the student files.
