The Office for International Students and Scholars enhances and supports the educational, cultural and social dimension of international education at Smith College. We promote a diverse learning environment, support essential services and programs and assist international students in meeting their educational and career goals.
The Office for International Students and Scholars provides the following support services:
- Advising and assisting students through the complexities of the U.S. immigration, visa and travel regulations, both prior to their arrival and throughout their stay at Smith.
- Assesses the needs of international students and facilitates their smooth transition to life at Smith and the U.S. Conducts programs and workshops on various topics throughout the year.
- Acts as a liaison and an advocate with governmental agencies and various college offices. Maintains links with departments and various college offices who work with international students.
