What is ARTstor?
ARTstor is a library of digital images of works of art and other cultural materials, descriptive information about the works recorded in these images, and tools to work with the images and their documentation. ARTstor currently includes about 300,00 digital images covering art, architecture, and archaeology from a wide range of cultures and time periods, with strengths in European, American and Asian cultures.

Only members of the Smith community (including Five College students currently enrolled in a course at Smith) may register for access to the full range of ARTstor tools. This includes the ability to create and save image groups and use of the Off-line Image Viewer (OIV). All Five Colleges are members of ARTstor, so Five College students, faculty, and staff have access to the full range of ARTstor tools at their home institutions.
