INSIGHT access

Download INSIGHT software to your computer OR Use INSIGHT in a library or lab

DOWNLOAD INSIGHT JVA software to your computer:

1. Access to INSIGHT is limited to Smith College only. Contact Jacy Birdsong (x 3105) for a login and password.

2. PLEASE NOTE: INSIGHT JVA software can be installed on a PC or MAC. MAC users must have OS 10.2 - 10.4.x for optimum performance. The Insight client download may not work in Safari. MAC 10.5.x users and WINDOWS VISTA users should contact Jacy Birdsong or Jon Cartledge (x 4568) to install the JVA client. Students may have difficulty installing and using INSIGHT if their computer is not registered with ITS. Windows XP users may need to disable their firewall before installing and using the INSIGHT JVA client.

3. Remove old version of INSIGHT. For Windows users go to: Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and remove the Insight program.

4. Close all programs.

5. Click here to Download INSIGHT 5.60(02)17November2006

6. At Java Plug-in Security Warning, click "Grant this Session."

7. During download see bottom of screen for any special instructions.

8. When complete, message will say "Installation successful." Close window. An INSIGHT 5.6 icon should be appear on your desktop.
