artstor digital library

ARTstor is a library of digital images of works of art and other cultural materials, descriptive information about the works recorded in these images, and tools to work with the images and their documentation. ARTstor currently includes about 500,000 digital images covering art, architecture, and archaeology from a wide range of cultures and time periods, with strengths in European, American and Asian cultures. Access to the ARTstor library is available throughout the Smith campus. Only members of the Smith community (including Five College students currently enrolled in a course at Smith) may register for access to the full range of ARTstor tools.

Please Note:
Although all Five Colleges are members of ARTstor, the memberships are not consortial. So, for example, faculty teaching at Smith and Mount Holyoke will need separate accounts on each campus and must register twice. Faculty and students will not be able to see image groups created at Smith at the other colleges.
