The programs of commercial fitness are more and more accepted by women of each age although they often self-selected out of physical education at school and think of themselves as nonathletes. This fact leads to questions concerning the reasons for this and what sense lies in visiting these Centers. The results of empirical studies (fall studies) and of phenomenlogic inspection help to give some answers, such as: Women often pursue ideals of beauty, which are public conceptions of being female. Fitness-Centers promise to help them realize these wishes for a beautiful body. And they solicit this by offering a very comfortable ambience, which differs from the ugly appearance of most academic sport facilities. Training plans made by experts give you a feeling of not being responsible for yourself. The special outwear, the program, besides the physical practice, give a feeling of belonging, inclusion. Fitness is socially accepted as a contribution to wellness and health.Looking to the condition of women' s daily life, to their different bodies and different circumstances, they live looking to the problems they must solve. We must be critical. Disappointments are programmed. Mechanical movement in the rhythm of machines is only a narrow field of experience and prevents women from other, manifold experiences.
