I researched colleges in the United States because
I wanted to play soccer. I let my mother choose one of the schools I applied to and she
chose Smith. I was accepted, but I didn’t visit the school until several days before
I had to make my decision. I loved the campus and wanted to play soccer, but the thing
that really tipped it for me was the academics. I didn’t want to pass up the chance
to attend such a good school. Thanks to financial aid, I’m here.
The soccer team
competes throughout the fall and then we play a short spring season. Being on the team
is demanding, but it helps me manage my time better. My teammates are great—they’re
very supportive and we’ve become very close. I love playing at the Division III level.
The people playing at this level are there because they really love the sport. Coming to
Smith has been amazing because it has allowed me to play competitive soccer and be challenged
academically. |
