My family had visited Northampton a few times, and I really liked the town. That’s part of why I applied to Smith. When I visited the campus to make my decision, I just got a good vibe. Since then, I’ve found that there are things I really like about being at a woman’s college. The conversations in the classroom are wide ranging. The overall environment is laid back. And the bathrooms in the dorms are incredible -- you never see bathrooms like this at a college.

Before coming to Smith, I had studied dance. I feel lucky to be at a college where there are so many opportunities to perform. The five nearby colleges offer a lot of dance opportunities and resources, too. I know that in the real world, dance isn’t often funded. I’m grateful to be in a place where the arts matter.
