Information Technology Services (ITS)
Information Technology Services provides hands-on workshops on a variety of technology topics. Most topics are covered by a series of workshops that progress from general introductory material to more complex or specialized content.

Five College Training and Development Collaborative
Faculty and staff have the opportunity to attend trainings and workshops offered by the other members of the Five College Collaborative.  To enroll in programs offered at Amherst College and UMass, please follow the registration guidelines and procedures outlined on their learning and development Web sites.  If you have any questions about these programs or how to register, please contact Lily Kane at or call 585-2268.

SIS (Seminar Information Service, Inc.)
This site consolidates course schedules from many top workplace training providers, including SkillPath, Fred Pryor and Padgett-Thompson. The database is searchable by topic, date and location.

Employers Association of the Northeast
EANE provides public seminars, workshops, briefings and webinars on an ongoing basis for member companies throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont. As a member organization, Smith College receives an automatic 30 percent discount on most training and consulting services.

SkillPath Seminars

The Wellness Corporation: E-Learning
Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) includes a comprehensive training Web site with online courses, articles, videos, quizzes and assessments. To log in to the Web site, register with the name Smith College (case sensitive). You will need to choose a user name and password. Once you have successfully registered, you will be granted full access to the site. The site is voluntary and confidential.


Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance is available to eligible employees who enroll in academic courses both at Smith College and at other colleges and universities.

Ada Comstock Scholars Program
Established in 1975, the Ada Comstock Scholars Program enables women of nontraditional college age to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at a realistic pace, either part time or full time.

UMass Continuing and Professional Education
UMass Amherst Continuing & Professional Education links students with convenient online, blended, and on-campus classes, degrees and certificate programs as well as Winter and Summer Session courses. Finish a bachelor's degree, earn a graduate degree, or take classes for personal enrichment.

Holyoke Community College (HCC)
For more than 59 years, Holyoke Community College has been a gateway to quality education and career advancement. HCC offers a variety of programs and courses to suit your educational and professional development needs.

Greenfield Community College (GCC)
The GCC Community Education Program offers several distinct ways for you to take a workshop without attending a class on campus.

Bay Path College
At Bay Path, classroom learning and real-life experience combine for a meaningful education. From our founding more than 100 years ago, we have emphasized a career-focused curriculum that prepares people to become professionals and leaders in their field. Westfield State College (WSC)

UMASS - University Without Walls (UWW)
Founded in 1971, the University Without Walls (UWW) is the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s adult degree program. Serving students in most fields available at the university, UWW offers individualized degrees which may be similar to majors offered by other departments or may be interdisciplinary in nature, as well as several workforce development courses of study.

Springfield Technical Community College (STCC)
STCC offers practical solutions to jump start your future through credit courses in the evenings, weekends, afternoons and summers as well as online.  Whether you are just getting a start on college, beginning your career or even starting to think it’s time to retire, going back to school at STCC is a viable and exciting opportunity.
