The approximately 900 staff members of Smith College work in 134 different departments and hold approximately 575 kinds of positions. As of 2006, our average length of service at the college is 12 years, and about 240 of us have worked at the college for more than 20 years. We are a diverse group: approximately 600 of us are women and 300 of us are men; 166 of us are Asian, African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American.

exceptional and innovative services and to participate actively in their education
and growth.
