ATHLETICS

 

Get Fit Smith

The Athletic department's Get Fit Smith classes are open to the entire Smith community on a drop-in, first-come basis. With fun and relaxation in mind, workshops include yoga, Pilates, awesome abs, strength/conditioning training, personal training, and aerobics.  Current schedule of classes.

Other Staff & Faculty Fitness Offerings include:

Tuesday and Thursday, 12pm to 1pm
Ainsworth Gym

Basketball
Mon/Wed/Fri, Noon to 1:30pm

EXERCISE & SPORT STUDIES (ESS)

 

Employee Fitness Program

The ESS Fitness Program is open to all Smith College employees and their immediate families on a first-come, first-served basis. Class size is limited.

ESS Program Course Offerings

Employees are eligible for employee tuition assistance when they enroll in courses offered through the Exercise & Sport Studies program. Courses include yoga, fencing, golf, swimming, diving, aqua-aerobics, tennis, badminton, kick boxing, kayaking, canoeing, and more.  To find course listings, go to the Smith College course catalog.

Did you know that Harvard Pilgrim has created a web site just for the Smith College community?  It offers information on Health & Wellness, Member Savings, the Pharmacy Program and has our Plan information.

For Harvard Pilgrim members, take control of your health with an HPHConnect for Members account. With your secure, password-protected account, you have access to plan information, plus health improvement and decision-making tools.

To get started:

  • Go to www.harvardpilgrim.org/smithcollege
  • Select ‘Login’ on the right
  • Select ‘I Need an Account’ to receive a temporary password for your HPHConnect account’
  • Enter your HP ID number (from your ID card) and birth date
  • Harvard Pilgrim will send you a password to activate your account

Member Savings

Harvard Pilgrim offers member savings for a variety of wellness products such as: athletic footwear, bicycle helmets, home exercise equipment, fitness club savings, and more. 

 

Fitness Reimbursements

Harvard Pilgrim members can receive a fitness reimbursement up to $150 per calendar year for membership at a qualified health and fitness club. 

 

Local Health Education Classes

Harvard Pilgrim members can save on a wide variety of health education courses and preventive health services throughout the area. Pre-registration is required for most classes. For dates, times, or fees, call the phone number provided in the Complete List of Health Classes.
