Howard Nenner is Roe/Straut Professor in the Humanities. His research and writing have focused on the constitutional history of England, principally in the seventeenth century, with an outreach to legal history and the history of political thought. He has written on legal culture, monarchical succession, and is currently working on regicide in the English politics and political thought of the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
