Gudmundson Professor of History and Latin American Studies at Mount Holyoke College He teaches a wide variety of courses on Latin American History and comparative topics. His research interests include Central America, coffee-based economies and societies, and Afro-Latin America. Duke University Press will publish his co-edited collection, Between Race and Place: Blacks and Blackness in Central America.
