Offered on Tuesdays: 9 AM to 11 AM

                   Fridays:    2 PM  to   5 PM

Smith Health Services has arranged for Nanci Newton and Janice Peterman, licensed massage therapists, to be at Health Services.

Cost:  $20 for half an hour, $40 for one hour.  Payment is due at the time of service; cash and checks accepted.  To book an appointment, call ext. 2823.  This is for students only.

Nanci Newton, LCMT
A 1998 graduate of The Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA ( 900 hr. intensive study )
Advanced training: providing massage and support during pregnancy, labor and post-partum as well as stress relief and pain management for those living with Cancer.
Faculty at Springfield Technical Community College in the Massage Therapy Program.
Owner of The Healing ZONE Therapeutic Massage in Hadley founded in 2000
A public school Band Director for 15 years prior to entering the field of Massage Therapy.

Janice Peterman, LCMT
2007 graduate of The Stillpoint School of Massage Therapy, Greenfield Community College, Greenfield, MA (750 hr. intensive study)
Independent massage therapist working in Northampton and Hadley.
Advanced training: providing massage and support during pregnancy, labor and post-partum. Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Certified in heated stone massage.
A former small business owner for 15 years, National Ski Patroller for 5 years, horse trainer for 10 years prior to entering the field of Massage Therapy.

Health Workshops for Houses (updated: November 6, 2008)

Health Services and Emily Nagoski, Director of Wellness Education, have planned workshops that will come to your house to present informally on the topic you request. It is anticipated these will usually occur during a 'tea' but if there is a more convenient time for your house, please let us know.

To request a workshop, please contact wellness@smith.edu with the following information, at least 2 weeks in advance:
