Absence Due To Illness

During Examination Period

To receive consideration for a make-up examination, you must report to Health Services when missing or leaving an exam.

Incomplete Academic Work

Incomplete academic work resulting from absence due to illness will be excused only if you receive the prior approval of a Health Services provider. Before you return to Smith, remember to provide the director of Health Services with a written statement regarding your illness.

Please note: Health Services will not provide medical excuses or notes for missed classes due to illness.
