Time Management: Pattern Planning There’s absolutely no question that good time management techniques can translate to less stress! One way to improve your time management is to use what’s called “pattern planning.” To use this technique you need to look at the “big picture,” i.e., look at the semester as a whole, and pre-plan when you will attend to each important task, such as writing a paper, studying for an exam, etc. This method can help you prioritize and be more realistic about getting the most important items done first (always a good idea!). You can pick up a “Big Picture Semester and Weekly Planner” either through the Healthstyles Rep in your house, or at Wellsprings Health Education at Smith College Health Services. (It’s our present to you!)
