Health
Promotion Peers
Each house on campus
has an opportunity to have a Health Promotion Peer. "Health Peers"
are sponsored by Smith College Health Services and coordinated through
the Wellsprings! Health Education program. Unlike groups that facilitate
workshops, Health Peers provide "passive education" for the
houses via health theme bulletin boards, bathroom stuffers, low-cost latex;
they also promote the "0-3" Alcohol Awareness Project. Health
Peers have the opportunity to design special health promotion projects
of their choosing for the campus. Topics have included: panel presentations
on current health topics, film series, "safe break" kits, etc.

interested in being a Health Peer.
Latex
Orders
Condoms, dams and gloves are
available at clinic costs (i.e. very low cost) to the houses. Health Peers
are encouraged to customize a latex dissemination system based on house
culture. Orders received by 4:30pm on Wednesday are available by 1pm on
Friday.
