By Girls, For Girls is a 2 week class taught during the Smith College Summer Science and Engineering Program. On the first day, the students discussed the question "what do girls need to know to be healthy and safe?". Over the course of the class, the students explored many topics identified in response. The course is taught primarily through discussion based lessons, but in combination with lecture, film, and other activities.
The course is taught by Dr. Leslie Jaffe, Director of Health Services at Smith College, and assisted by intern Kaleigh Ross.
