Earth Reps
During annual house elections, houses elect Earth Reps who act as liaisons between students in the house and the recycling program, as well as other campus environmental programs.
Earth Reps maintain an Earth Board of information about recycling and environmental information in each house. They also help maintain recycling sites in their house and provide other recycling education by hosting a tea, making announcements at dinner, etc.
Student Recycling Reps
Student Recycling Reps are employees of Facilities Management whose primary role is to support and coordinate the activities of the Earth Reps. They also propose, initiate and oversee recycling projects in student areas of campus. Their blog offers information about recycling specific products and answers questions about materials used at Smith.
