The Office of Campus Sustainability integrates environmentally sustainable practices into institutional operations. The office works closely with the Committee on Sustainability to develop campus policy and oversees the Eco Rep program in Smith's student houses. Find out more about the Eco Rep program here.
The office also cooperates with Facilities Management and other campus organizations to develop and implement key operational initiatives. We work closely with the Center for the Environment, Ecological Design and Sustainability (CEEDS) and the Environmental Science and Policy program to connect campus operations with student learning.
The Director of Campus Sustainability, Dano Weisbord, is also a member of the Study Group on Climate Change. Under the directive of President Kathleen McCartney, this group will facilitate a campuswide examination of how Smith College can respond to the challenge of global climate change.
The office is co-located in the CEEDS space in Wright Hall 005.
