Smith College's beautiful 147-acre campus is set in a river valley flanked by mountains. The student houses and administrative buildings, ranging in architectural style from Gothic to colonial to modern, lend a distinctive character not found on most campuses. Though just a five-minute walk from vibrant downtown Northampton (with 30,000 residents), the campus, with its towering trees, flower beds, open fields and scenic Paradise Pond, feels like the countryside.

In addition to the pleasure of residing in such breathtaking surroundings, graduate students find that the real advantage of being at Smith College is the number of facilities and academic resources available.
