Requirements:
10 semester courses, including the following:
- 100;
- one course at the
200 level in each of the following fields: American government, comparative
government, international relations, and political theory;
- two additional
courses, one of which must be a seminar, and both of which must be related
to one of the courses taken under (2); they may be in the same sub-field
of the department, or they may be in other sub-fields, in which case
a rationale for their choice must be accepted by the student and her
adviser; and
- three additional
elective courses. Majors are encouraged to select 190 as one of their
electives.
Majors may spend the
junior year abroad if they meet the college requirements.
The Minor

Requirements:
Based on 100. The minor consists of 6 courses, which shall include 5 additional
courses, including at least one course from two of the four fields identified
as requirements for the major.
