The Honors program consists of a year-long
intensive research project resulting in a thesis. Eligible
students are encouraged to apply in the spring of their junior year, but fall applications
are allowable so long as they are received before the end of the first week of classes
in September.
Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science
Honor Society, is the only honor society for college students of political science
and government in the United States. Pi Sigma Alpha is a member of the Association
of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and is designated as a "Specialized, Upper-Division" society
by ACHS.
