This film was based on the true story diary of Dang Thuy Tram. Her diary documents her love for people, her burning longings for her family and relatives, and her dreams about peace, which have touched the heart of an American soldier on the opposing side. This war diary has the strength to bring people of different colors and political viewpoints closer. It is a rarity.
