Landscape Update: June 14, 2013

Campus Trees slated for removal:

Four campus trees are slated for removal due to a fungal infection, Botryosphaeria sp., known as stem canker.

A Liquidambar orientalis, Sweetgum, on the east side of Hopkins house, two  Platycladus orientalis 'Elegantissima’, Oriental arborvitae, and a Calocedrus decurrens, Incense cedar, behind 150 Elm St. (north of the President’s house), will be removed to prevent the spread of the fungus.
