Landscape Update: October 15, 2012

Lyman Plant House Pond Restoration Project

The Lyman Plant House Pond Restoration Project (dredging the Pond) has been awarded to Scapes Builders from Conway, MA.

The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 15, and will be complete sometime in the spring when new plants will be installed.

The work includes removal of approximately 200 cubic yards of dredged materials and soils harboring invasive plant species, the reshaping of the banks with new loam, and the installation of a gravity fed underground water supply, harvested from existing drains, to improve pond water quality.

A screened fence will be installed around the site for the duration of the dredging activities.
