An exploration of the ways botanic gardens since the early Renaissance endeavored to represent our increasing awareness of plant life of other continents and climates. Paradise Gate

North Carolina sculptor Patrick Dougherty constructed a site-specific sculptural installation on campus. Using maple tree and other saplings, Dougherty wove and shaped a large-scale work, Paradise Gate on Burton Lawn.
