What distinguishes a Smith education? What intellectual
abilities should Smith strive to develop in women of the 21st century?
President Carol Christ has launched a series of conversations
with alumnae about the future of Smith College. She is asking alumnae, from the
perspective both of their reflections upon Smith and of their experience in the
contemporary world, what they feel are the most important capacities to develop
in our students. How can Smith best prepare its students for rewarding and contributing
lives in the 21st century?
Messages will be shared with the president and senior
staff, as well as summarized and posted periodically on the Web site. Thank you
