ATTRACTING THE BEST STUDENTS

Ada Comstock Scholarships

Ada Comstock Scholars range in age from their 20s to their mid-80s. Some are single, some are married.

They come to Smith from all parts of the United States, Asia, and Africa. Earlier in their lives, their education was interrupted by events or necessary choices; now they are determined to pursue a degree at Smith in a demanding but flexible academic environment. With their unique perspective, they enhance the Smith experience for faculty as well as for students of traditional age.

Many Ada Comstock Scholars have to leave jobs to pursue their studies, and many have not held high-earning positions that allowed them to save the money required to attend Smith. The college extends opportunity to Ada Comstock Scholars through specific and significant financial aid.
