The Smith College fiscal year operates from July
1 to June 30. Each year, along the lines of the academic calendar, solicitations for The Smith Fund begin with the start of classes in the fall and end in the month after graduation.
We encourage all alumnae, parents and friends to make
their gifts early in the fiscal year. In addition to saving the college on printing
and solicitation costs, your gift will go to work immediately to support scholarships,
faculty retention and research, or innovative programming.
You might be pleased to know that once you make a pledge
or gift to The Smith Fund in any given fiscal year, you will not be
solicited again by the Fund for the rest of that year. Your early commitment benefits
you and the college!
