WORK & LIFE

Smith is well positioned to contribute substantively to national and international debates on issues that affect women’s lives.

Drawing on its many strengths as a women’s college with alumnae leaders in many fields, Smith is developing programs to help undergraduate women reflect on the multiple dimensions of success, including the difficult balance among work, family, public service, health, and wellness.

Together with the coordination of existing programs in health and wellness, the “Women’s Narratives of Success” program is bringing women of achievement to campus as speakers and mentors, while the Career Development Office is working on expanding access to alumnae mentors who can provide a variety of perspectives on shaping a rewarding life.
