Materials and Services

The following materials and services are available to faculty online and at the CFR office

	Application materials and/or information from funding sources, such as NEH, NEA, NSF, NIH, Fulbright, ACLS, and Social Science Research Council
	Extensive file materials, annual reports, reference books, periodicals and newsletters related to grantmaking and funding sources (available at CFR office and in the Neilson Library)
	Occasional faculty workshops on grantwriting, special aspects of federal funding applications, and grantseeking using the Internet.

Proposal preparation assistance

	A good place to start your grant application process is reading through our Proposal Preparation Tips and Advice. Contact Alan Bloomgarden at x2026, e-mail him at abloomgarden@smith.edu, or stop by the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations on the 1st floor of 76 Elm Street between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
	Internal funding: Assistance and information on internal funding sources for faculty development at Smith is available from the Office of the Dean for Academic Development. Consult the Funding for Faculty Development booklet or call Charles Staelin at x3000 or Sherrie McCoy at x3007.
