After studying English linguistics, arts and literatures at the Université de Toulouse-le-Mirail (France) and French language and literature with a dissertation on narrative identity at Washington University in St. Louis, Anouk Alquier joined the French Studies department in 2006. She specializes in 20th- and 21st-century literatures —with a special focus on first person narratives —and culture, with interests in popular culture as well as foreign language pedagogy.
Anouk offers language, culture and literature courses at all levels as well as a seminar on the teaching of foreign languages.
