Ann Leone

Anouk Alquier Ann Leone has an undergraduate degree in French from Smith, and a Ph.D. from Brown University. She does research and has published essays on the functions of gardens and other landscapes in French, Russian, British, and American literature. Ann Leone teaches first- and second-year French language and nineteenth- and early twentieth-century French literature, Landscape Studies, Comparative Literature, and Smith's "great books" course, General Literature. She also offers two first-year seminars, "Literature and Medicine," and "Reading, Writing, and Placemaking: Landscape Studies."
