Students have chosen to become Praxis students at Fort Hill through Smith's unique internship program, "Praxis: The Liberal Arts at Work." The program provides students access to funding for summer internships which build upon their academic studies and offer opportunities for career exploration.
Fort Hill is in the process of developing naturalized playgrounds designed by a landscape architect, Denig Design, Inc. A Smith student organization, the Community Garden, is also on the Fort Hill site.
Landon has collaborated with teachers, children, parents and other college departments to install and maintain the plantings specified for the playground design and the Community Garden.
