Title Archives Assistant
Job Description Arranging, describing and basic preservation of archival records and manuscripts, photocopying, research, word processing, filing, shelving and paging boxes. The position also includes part-time reception desk duties: answering and directing incoming telephone calls and greeting researchers; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications  Good organizational skills, attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills, legible handwriting, proficiency in word processing (Microsoft Word preferred). Versatility, curiosity, an interest in women's history, the history of Smith College, and in exploring what archival work entails.
Schedule  35 hours/week; Monday - Friday

Qualifications  Computer skills (MS Word), Strong writing and editing skills, Detail oriented, Organized and orderly, Discreet. Preferred: Website experience, Office support experience. Student must be on work-study so that she can continue the job for the 2004-05 academic year.
Schedule 15-20 hours a week - May through August, then throughout the academic year as regular work-study.
