Students working at schools or agencies under this program must first be sure that their supervisor has hired
them using JobX, which allows the Payroll Office to set you up for that position on BannerWeb. Students then complete a timesheet on BannerWeb just as though they are working on campus since Smith College acts as the Paymaster. You must do your timesheets on
a bi-weekly basis. All of the schools and agencies under the program have their own position index number and a pay rate of $8.50 an hour, 50 cents
higher than the on-campus rate, in part to make up for the FICA withheld from student paychecks and the fact that
tutors often have to travel. Any questions regarding pay should be addressed to the Payroll Office, payroll@smith.edu, x2213.
