The Bundestag Internship Program is really a fantastic deal
for students with a B.A.
The Internationale Parlements-Praktika Internship Programme
(IPP) is a fully funded fellowship for college graduates and
young professionals from the United States, France, and Eastern
Europe during which participants intern in the office of a
member of the German Parliament (Bundestag) and may take classes
at the Humboldt University in Berlin. The duration of the
program is five months. The IPP program provides a stipend,
housing, health insurance, student fees, and provision of
a residency visa. Applicants must be: US citizens, possess
very good German language skills, have an interest in politics
and German affairs, have a BA or BS degree, and not be older
than 30 years by the start of the program. The program is
managed and funded by the German Parliament and administered
by the Office of Foreign Exchange Programs (Akademisches Auslandsamt)
of the Humboldt University.
