The University of Cambridge has an outstanding reputation
for excellence in teaching (both at the undergraduate and
graduate level) and research. Almost 6,000 students pursue
graduate studies, of whom about 1,500 are from overseas.
Graduate students can either pursue courses of research
leading to the degree of PhD, on a wide variety of topics
where Cambridge has particular strengths (the normal length
of doctoral research is three years), or one-year postgraduate
courses of study for the MPhil in:
