U.S. Student English Teaching Assistantships are offered in many countries. In most cases, grantees are placed in schools or universities outside capital cities. They are assigned various activities designed to improve
their students' language abilities and knowledge of the United States, while
increasing their own language skills and knowledge of the host country.

Some TA's are for university placements and thus less likely to go to graduating seniors. For most countries, it is
usually grade schools. Korea has an additional 20 Teaching Fulbrights for elementary schools.
A background in Early Childhood Education would be required for a graduating senior to be
considered for one of these fellowships, although the secondary school TA fellowships
in Korea are open to all seniors. Anyone with a GPA of 3.4/+ is encouraged to apply for a
Fulbright to South Korea, Indonesia, or Malayasia, especially those desiring an experience in Asia. They are easy to
win, have few requirements, are plentiful, and require no foreign language.
