NCTA in the Northeast > Rhode Island

National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA) seminars offers K-12 educators the opportunity to explore East Asian history, geography, culture, literature, arts, and language with Rhode Island's top scholars of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean studies. The program provides K-12 teachers with content background and pedagogical techniques for integrating East Asia into their curriculums. Participating teachers receive substantial incentives including $500 in cash stipends, $200 in books, and $300 in mini-grants as well as qualifying for highly subsidized study tours to East Asia.
