RESOURCE LIBRARY ENTRY PAGE

If you are a teacher in New England or upstate New York, you may borrow resources free-of-charge for a 3-week period from the Five College Center for East Asian Studies’ library. Although there is no charge to borrow resources, you or your school must pay for return postage (insured).  You may borrow as many as 5 videos/DVDs and a total of 10 resources at a time. However, if you are working on a long-term project or working with other teachers, please let us know. In those cases, you may be allowed to borrow more than 10 resources.

To borrow resources online, you will need to provide us with a valid e-mail address, as well as your name, school and home addresses and phone numbers. To better understand your needs, we would also like to know the grade level you teach and the number of students in your classroom.

Please fill in the fields on the next page, and, if there is any change to the information you have provided, be sure to inform us by calling the Center or sending e-mail to fcceas@email.smith.edu. After providing this information initially, you should be able to simply enter your e-mail address.

If you have borrowed resources from us in the past and have already provided the Center with a valid e-mail address, you should be able to simply enter that e-mail address and not have to reenter the other information when borrowing online.

Please call us or send an e-mail or fax if you have any questions or concerns about this process. We look forward to helping you teach about China, Japan, and Korea.
