Office Move Request
All office moves, whether in-house or building-to-building should go through facilities management, by entering a work order at smith.teamworkslive.com using your network username and password.
Office moves are only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. A week's notice is required.
You must pack all of your belongings. We do not offer this service.
List Your Items
Be specific on your inventory (e.g., file cabinets, drawers, bookcases). All items must be cleared off and emptied.
Label Your Destination
All items, including desks, workstations, file cabinets, must be clearly labeled with intended destination (e.g. College Hall room #21). Many work stations and desks are attached and may need a carpenter or electrician before the move. If you are not sure, request that a custodian checks it out ahead of time. All furniture items destined for storage at Fort Hill must be pre-approved prior to pickup and delivery by the purchasing department at extension 2240.
Do Not Overload Boxes
Please do not fill large boxes with books, printed materials, pamphlets, etc. Please keep cardboard box weight limits to 40 pounds.
Tape, Don't Fold, Boxes
Cardboard boxes must be taped/secured on the bottom and not folded. The cross-folding flaps of boxes are not meant for heavy loads and many times pop open during a move. We will not be responsible for unsecured boxes.
